Issue with layered hair?

So when I straighten my hair there's a section that's layered and it poofs out! It doesn't stick out like horizontally but the rest of my hair is scattered with layers and pretty flat, but that one piece will straighten but it won't stay even with the rest of my hair! It's really irritating. And when I asked the lady to give me layers, like a fringe, she gave me actual layers! It's even on the top of my head and it makes it look like my head is square!?! Do you think if I go to another Salon to fix it that they'll make it able to look good?Thanks for the reply!
